And On Our Day Off…

Saturday mornings are a special time as my daughter, grandson and I take care of several tasks. First of all, we go to the post office that is only open for two hours. We rarely can get to the PO during the week and so far our mail isn’t landing in our mailbox where we live. We live on an island, and the rhythm is a bit different than what we are used to. While I like the laid back atmosphere, it can be a challenge at time. After the post office, we head for our favorite breakfast place; either going through the drive-in or inside to sit down and spend time chatting while we eat. After that, we may or may not have other tasks around the area such as stops at the drug store or grocery store. Today we made a special stop. About a mile or so from where the apartment building where we live is the Gulf of Mexico. The weather was beautiful and we decided to play around for a while. I’m not going to publish a photo of family members here, you can check out our Facebook page for that, but I do want to share a beautiful view – one that gives me peace whenever I look at it. Because I was born and raised in Michigan, I never considered living in the Coastal Bend of Texas, but here we are. We never know where life is going to take us, so I’ve learned to just go with the flow.I’m putting this image on Pinterest, and you are welcome to place your own favorite image on my Favorite Places board.
